Author and Diva News

Christie Craig has some outstanding contest news. Weddings Can Be Murder is a finalist in the Golden Rose. Weddings Can Be Murder and Dead Ends and Fairy Dust have both finaled in the Writer’s Voice competition, too. Congratulations, Christie! Go get ‘em.

Jerre Ferns’ manuscript, Secrets, came in third in the Put Your Heart in a Book contest. We’re delighted for you.

Christy Janisse’s entry, Mistaken (which was titled The Wrong One for this contest) placed tenth in Romance Junkies’ online contest. This non-genre-specific competition was judged by readers and writers alike. Wonderful news!

Sharon Forret has some fantastic news to share. Her entry, Phantom Spirit placed first in the Lone Star’s Fantasy, Futuristic, and Paranormal category. Way to go! That’s great news!

Kristi Gold has a release date for her upcoming Silhouette Special Edition. Through Jillian’s Eyes (formerly A Touch in the Dark) will be out in June 2007. Can’t wait, Kristi!

Colleen Thompson is celebrating some terrific reviews on her new romantic suspense, Heat Lightning, from Affaire de Couer, Romance Junkies, Romance Readers Connection, Romance Reviews Today, Fresh Fiction, and several other sites and publications. As was the case with Fade the Heat, Heat Lightning takes place right here in Houston.

Jody Payne has more exciting contest news. Her entry, Forbidden Attraction, took first place in the Ticket to Write contest’s paranormal category. Jo Anne Banker was the fourth-place winner of the single title category in this same competition. Congratulations to both of you ladies!

Kay Hudson is a finalist in the paranormal category of the Finally a Bride contest with her parallel world manuscript, Far Between. The Finally a Bride contest is limited to finalists from other contests only, so the competition is tough. Best of luck in the finals, Kay!

But wait, wait! There’s more news just in. Jerre Ferns and Janice Martin both finaled in Finally a Bride’s Romantic Suspense/Single Title category. Jerre’s entry is called Deep in the Heart of Texas (clever!) and Janice’s is The Legacy. Best of luck to both of you ladies as well.
