About WHRWA
West Houston Romance Writers is a local chapter of Romance Writers of America® (RWA). RWA® is an international non-profit organization founded in 1980 to promote excellence in the romance genre. Since then, RWA® has grown to 8,400 members worldwide, 1,600 of whom are published authors. WHRWA was founded in 1981. As of 2008, over 100 members and over 40 of them are published in book-length romantic fiction.
