Emily Schedule for Announcing Finalists and Winners

Finalists Announced December 1st!  First, we’ll call our finalists to give them the good news.  Once everyone is contacted, we’ll post the finalists here.

All non-finalists (and remember, the competition is fierce, so don’t be disappointed if you didn’t make it) will receive their entries back at this point.

TWO MORE DAYS! That is all there is before The 2011 Emily closes this year. October 7th is not as far away as it use to be.

Time’s a running! There are only 10 (okay 11 including today) days left to enter the Emily!  This is a great opportunity people.  I was (the Emily Webmaster) was at a talk recently where the speakers talked about that contests are a great way to make a name for yourself before getting published… Make a Name for Yourself!  Enter today!

Is it possible?  Is it day 10 of submissions already?  That leaves only 27 days to go.  (Remember submission deadline is October 7th.)

If you are just not checking out the contest: don’t forget to look at the excellent Finalist Judges List, the Contest Rules and the Score Sheets to help you choose which category to enter.

A couple of things to keep in mind when you enter.

1.  We take Rich Text Files/.rtf files only.  Your word processor of choice should allow you to “Save As” a Rich Text Format file.

2.  Paying by Paypal?  You will be emailed a link to use.  We want to make sure to match your entry and your payment, so please use the link we send you.

3.  Four new categories this year!  3 Finalist Judges!

We have been crossing our t’s and dotting our i’s to make sure the 2011 Emily Contest is good to go.

The Finalist Judges List has been updated.

Contest Rules have been finalized.

The Score Sheets have been posted.

Are you ready?  Remember, you can submit starting on Wednesday, September 1st until October 7th.

Emily 2011 is coming

Welcome to the new Emily Contest site.  In August, all contest information will be out and entries will be accepted starting in September.

We announce the formation of four new categories: romantic suspense, erotic romance, young adult and romantic elements.  This is in addition to Single Title, Historical, Paranormal, and Series Romance.
